Prologue

Please arrive at least 20 minutes before your experience to use the restroom, acclimate, and prepare for the magical world of MAKEOVERGUY. Enjoy a cup of coffee at FRGMNT, a coffee shop just across the vast open atrium designed to reflect the great Industrial Exhibition Building built in 1886. We kindly suggest turning off your devices before you make your entrance. Leave your worries at the doorstep and enjoy the moment. This is your day to shine as the star of the show.

Day One

Act One

Scene One: Entrance

​

At 9:00, the curtain rises, and you will be warmly welcomed as you enter our turn-of-the-century parlor, where you will have a moment to relax and get oriented. Your personal makeover artist will return shortly to guide you through the rest of your magical makeover experience. Run through your personal style buzzwords to prepare yourself for the next scene.

 

Scene Two: Backstage

You will be welcomed backstage for a quick review of measurements, coloring, and personal style for your costume fitting.

Scene Three: Video

​

Then, a quick rehearsal for your before walkouts before filming. Now your before interview will be recorded. Next, your hair will be shampooed and conditioned, then pulled back for head shape and body shape photos.

Scene Four: Analyses

​

We will tailor your makeover with a thorough analysis of your hair, color, and personal style captured on video. Next, you change into the dreaded catsuit for body measurements and photos. Next, change into a customer gown, and your hair will be shampooed, conditioned, and pulled back to analyze the head and face.

Intermission

​

It's time for lunch! Whether you brought your lunch or ordered from your favorite on-demand delivery service, you can enjoy it at our dining table in the lobby.

Act Two

Scene One: Makeup

​

Following a relaxing facial and precision brow shaping, you will be shown an everyday makeup look recorded on video. You can record it yourself to have it immediately upon returning home. Finally, your hair will be dried, and you will be ready for the evening.

Scene One: Silhouette Analysis

​

The curtains rise at 9:00 when it's time for you to discover the results of your silhouette analysis. Joann Hopkins, "The Wardrobe Woman," will spend approximately one to two hours giving you all the advice you need to dress for your body type.

Scene Two: Hair Color

 

We offer a personalized approach, considering your head and face shape and hair texture to create a style that's uniquely yours.

It's time for lunch! Whether you brought your lunch or ordered from your favorite on-demand delivery service, you can enjoy it at our dining table in the lobby.

Scene One: Haircut & Style

​

Christopher Hopkins offers a personalized approach, considering your head and face shape and hair texture to create a style that's uniquely yours.

Day Three

Scene One: Makeup and Hairstyling

Now your camera-ready hair and makeup are created to make you feel more confident than you've felt in years. 

 

Scene Two: Costume Fitting

 

We work with you to find your perfect outfit and make any necessary adjustments to ensure the right look. You'll feel like the best version of yourself!

Scene Three: Video

​

After a quick blocking rehearsal, your before walkouts are filmed and your after interview will be recorded.

Intermission

Scene One: Reveal to Self

​

This is it!  You see yourself and, of course, we know you'll be pleasantly surprised. We understand the power of intention in creating a beautiful transformation, so we invite you to send out your intentions before your reveal.

​

Scene Two: Video

​

We offer video recordings of your final look so you can see the magic of your transformation come to life. Our team will help you get comfortable in front of the camera with blocking that works best for you. We'll interview you, capture your walkouts, and ensure all critical moments are recorded.
 

Scene Three: The Finale

​

It's time to settle up before you take your final bow with new confidence. Gratuities are at your discretion and always appreciated. For your convenience, we accept all forms of payment, but cash is preferred.
